Role Overview

Senior finance leadership role owning end-to-end customer credit risk management, credit rating evaluation, receivables recovery, credit insurance governance and global credit team management. Requires 15–20 years of deep credit risk management experience, with solid Sales Excellence & channel business background and/or knowledge. The incumbent will possess thorough insight into sales operations, distributor and vendor business models and unspoken channel practices, balancing rigorous risk control, sufficient insurance coverage and sustainable business growth. This role drives cross-functional & cross-region alignment, delivers actionable risk solutions, and leads difficult conversations and tough risk decisions at leadership level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Rating & Risk Assessment
Lead comprehensive customer credit grading, financial due diligence and qualitative & quantitative risk evaluation. Accurately assess customer creditworthiness, financial health and business stability, and dynamically optimize credit limits and terms to fit business scenarios while mitigating exposure. Develops and implements policies and procedures for investigating and evaluating new and existing customer creditworthiness and extending or revoking credit lines/limits. Recommend and implement credit extensions/revocations, and/or legal action where necessary.


2. Receivables & Collection Management
Oversee end-to-end OTC (Order-to-Cash) process, drive timely collection, control overdue AR and bad debt risk, and continuously improve cash conversion and receivable asset quality. Coordinates with internal departments to resolve billing disputes that may affect the ability to collect receivables. Timely manage accounts receivable, control pass due AR and DSO to meet company goals, and update collection follow up actions. Identify high risk situations and communicate to management so action can be taken timely and avert the risk. Must be able to balance the AR credit risk with the company’s revenue targets.


3. Credit Insurance Management
Serve as senior liaison for external credit insurance partners. Manage policy arrangement, risk declaration, coverage validation and renewal strategy. Ensure insurance validity, sufficiency and full risk coverage aligned with actual credit exposure. Recommends and implements credit extensions/revocations, and/or legal action where necessary.



4. Team & Process Leadership
Manage and develop the internal credit control team, standardize SOPs, strengthen team risk capability, and drive continuous optimization of OTC and credit approval workflows.

5. Channel & Sales Risk Governance (Core Strength Requirement)
Leverage Sales Excellence and channel expertise to fully understand sales, distributor and vendor credit application logic and hidden practices. Effectively identify grey-area operations, non-compliant credit applications and common channel loopholes, and implement precise risk control without blocking legitimate business growth.

6. Cross Department & Cross-Region Collaboration
Partner closely with global sales, BU leadership and regional teams. Resolve cross-border and cross-functional credit conflicts, provide practical, executable risk solutions for complex deals and key customer cases.

7. Stakeholder Communication & Tough Decision-Making
Confidently conduct difficult conversations with business and sales leadership on credit constraints, deal rejection and risk remediation. Make independent, tough but rational risk decisions to protect company assets while supporting strategic business expansion.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, Risk Management or related fields; FRM/CFA/MBA preferred.

2. 15–20 years of progressive credit risk & control experience with senior management exposure.

3. Proven Sales Excellence background and deep channel / distribution business understanding; familiar with frontline sales tactics, vendor cooperation models and channel credit risk characteristics.

4. Expertise in full OTC cycle, customer financial analysis, credit rating framework and bad debt prevention.

5. Solid experience partnering with credit insurance providers, capable of ensuring full and effective risk coverage.

6. Strong cross-region & cross-functional collaboration skills with ability to solve complex business-risk dilemmas.

7. High emotional intelligence and leadership courage: capable of tough communication, conflict management and critical risk decision-making under pressure.

8. Proficient in ERP/SAP and data analysis; fluent English for global stakeholder engagement.
