Position Summary
Salary - $51,000 base + 5% AIP
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring sales orders are processed efficiently, accurately, and within established timelines. This role provides critical operational and administrative support to inside and outside sales teams, enabling seamless order management and customer satisfaction.
The Specialist works cross-functionally with sales management, customer service, and other internal teams to validate orders, monitor account activity, and support revenue-generating activities. This role also contributes to reporting, quoting, and lead/order management processes to support overall sales performance.
What You’ll Do
- Process sales orders and change requests accurately and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
- Review and verify order details to ensure completeness, pricing accuracy, and compliance with company policies
- Provide day-to-day support to inside and outside sales representatives
- Partner with sales management, customer service, and internal teams to resolve order or account-related issues
- Monitor and manage account activity for assigned customers or territories
- Support lead and order management activities for designated sales segments (by account size or geography)
- Prepare product and licensing quotes for pre-sales and customer requests
- Track, analyze, and report on key data such as sales performance, market conditions, and team metrics
- Take orders on qualified leads when appropriate and support pipeline progression
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and order management systems
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiency
What You Bring to the Role
- Established individual contributor with the ability to perform under moderate supervision
- Experience supporting sales operations, order processing, or customer service functions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in high-volume transactional work
- Ability to solve routine problems and make minor adjustments to processes when required
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain information requiring interpretation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM/order management systems
- Ability to follow established procedures while adapting to new assignments as needed
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year college degree preferred
- Typically requires 3 years of general work experience or 2 years of functional experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to apply job skills, company policies, and procedures to complete assigned tasks
